The Spotify queue is a convenient tool for quickly lining up lots of songs or podcasts you want to listen to. It lets you schedule all your music quickly, then let Spotify run in the background without worry.
You can add songs to your queue by right-clicking or tapping the three dots next to their title and selecting 'Add to Queue' from the menu that opens. There's no limit to how many songs you can add.
Unlike its app interfaces on iOS and Android, Spotify’s desktop client offers a ‘Clear’ button to remove all songs in your current playback queue. To clear your Spotify queue on Spotify’s desktop client, open the Spotify app on your Mac or Windows computer. Click on the queue icon at the bottom right, as highlighted in the screenshot below. Find the 'Play Queue' icon in the top right (i think) of the iPhone app and go into the queue. Here you can select and remove tracks from the queue and it will clear it on the iPad. Bob's your uncle! A bit of a pain but ultimately useful 🙂. Clearing the Spotify Queue on Your Computer. Unlike the mobile Spotify app, the one on your computer allows you to clear the entire queue in a single click. Launch the app on your PC or Mac, then click the queue icon. It’s located at the bottom right of the screen and looks the same as previously described. Click Add to Queue. Tip: If you’re listening to an album, Spotify automatically queues all its songs. In the Play Queue, right-click the track you want to remove. Click Remove from Queue. Change the order. In the Play Queue, under Next Up, click and hold the track you want to move. Drag and drop it to the position you want.

How to clear your queue on Spotify on a computer
1. On your Mac or PC, open the Spotify app and click the queue button, which is at the bottom-right corner and looks like a small arrow set on top of three horizontal lines. It's next to the volume slider.
Click the 'Queue' button.2. Click the 'CLEAR' button on the right side of the page, above the songs in your queue.
Click 'Clear' to delete your entire queue at once.
You can also remove songs on a one-by-one basis by right-clicking on them in the queue and selecting 'Remove from Queue.'
And that's it. If you don't see the CLEAR button, then you don't have any songs in your queue.
How to clear your queue on Spotify on mobile
In the mobile app for iPhone and Android, there's no way to clear your entire queue at once with a single button - you have to go song-by-song.
1. Play a song or podcast, and make sure the album art and playback controls are open on the screen. Tap the queue icon in the bottom-right corner - it looks like a small arrow on top of three horizontal lines.
The queue can be opened with this icon in the bottom-left corner.2. Tap the circle beside each song you want to clear from your queue, then hit 'REMOVE' at the bottom-left of the screen.
On mobile, you can clear out any song that will play in the future, not just ones you've specifically queued up.

If you’re having problems working out how to clear a Spotify play queue then you’ve come to the right place. The Spotify play queue (or play cache as some people refer to it) can be frustrating when you find that it’s full of tracks that you never chose or you no longer want to play …. and every time a chosen track ends Spotify jumps straight to all the songs stored in the play queue. We Googled the problem but there seems to be some very mixed advice about how to clear the Spotify play queue; many suggestions seem to revolve around ‘deleting’ tracks from the list or jumping to the last one. None of them seemed to work for us so we set about looking for a quick-fix workaround that would clear the cache quickly and easily. Step-by-step instructions are given below and you’ll see that there’s the chance to customise it to your own preference …. which you’ll definitely want to do because that “YEAH” track will drive you mad after a while.
A simple workaround to the problem of how to remove all the songs from a Spotify play queue is to create a special Playlist with a very very very short track in it. All that you need to do is to double-click it at any time and your main cache will be cleared.
PLEASE NOTE that these workaround instructions relate to using Spotify on a PC. We’ve no idea whether this will also work on a tablet, iPad, iPod, etc. Maybe give it a try and let us know.
Here’s what to do:
(1) with the Spotify program open, choose File then New Playlist.
(2) you’ll see a new playlist appear in the left-hand sidebar which is waiting for you to give it a name. Type in Clear Queue (or anything you like! … but ‘Clear Queue’ is more helpful), hit Return and you now have an empty Spotify playlist location called ‘Clear Queue’ somewhere in your left-hand sidebar.

(3) next, type ‘kyuss yeah’ into the search box (without the apostrophes) at the top of the page and hit Return. Spotify will show you a track called ‘Yeah’ by an Artist called ‘Kyuss’. The importance of this track does not relate to the artist or the title …. it’s important because it’s only 4 seconds long!
(4) Right-click the track and choose ‘Add to…’ then ‘Clear Queue’. The 4 second long track has now been added to that playlist.
(5) That’s it. To clear the Spotify play queue at any time just double-click the ‘Clear Queue’ playlist …. the 4 second track will play ….. “YEAH!” ….. and your playlist cache is clear!

(6) You can of course put whatever song or track you like in the new playlist but by choosing one that’s very very short means that you won’t have to keep stopping the song every time you’ve cleared the Spotify play queue.
