Adding Spotify To Sonos

The Sonos app does offer support for both Spotify and Apple Music; you can queue up any song or playlist from either service in the app and play it on your Sonos One. How to play Apple Music and Spotify on your Sonos One. Open the Sonos app. Tap the Browse button. Choose your music service. If you use a music app with direct control, like Spotify Connect, it will show you all of your available Sonos speakers regardless of whether they belong to your S1 or S2 system. I have the same problem. Running Android 6.0.1 and have the spotify app and the sonos app installed on my phone, (moto G4) 4 spotify services are listed on the 'Add Music Services' tab, all of them give me a 'Unable to load service description' reply when I select them.

1. Download and open the Sonos app.
2. Tap More, then Add Music Services.
3. Select Spotify, then Add Account.
4. Enter your Spotify account details.

Desktop

1. Download and open the Sonos app.
2. Click Add Music Services on the right and select Spotify.
3. Click Next, then Add Account.
4. Enter your Spotify account details.

Follow our steps for linking your Spotify account to Alexa

Once you’ve linked your accounts, you can start playing! Connect wirelessly with Spotify Connect or Airplay. Control your tunes with the Spotify app, Sonos app, or with your voice using Alexa.

3. Tap My Services, then select Spotify.
4. Tap Remove Account.

1. Open the Sonos app.
2. Select Manage, then Service Settings.
3. Select Spotify and click the minus (-) button.

Free users around the world can also set up Spotify Connect with their Sonos speakers directly from the Spotify app. Spotify Connect works with all Sonos speakers, including the new Sonos Move, a durable, battery-powered smart speaker for great sound indoors, outdoors, and on the go. You can also connect wirelessly with the SYMFONISKIKEA WiFi Speaker—fully integrated in the Sonos Home Sound System—to play music in any or every room for a rich, home-filling sound.

Spotify Free Users can now start streaming through their Bose smart speakers and soundbars as well. Through Spotify Connect, you can use Spotify on your smartphone or desktop as a remote to get the jams going.

To play music using your Smart Speaker through Spotify Connect, first make sure that your Sonos or Bose system is updated to the latest firmware. Then open the Spotify app on your phone, laptop or tablet. Play any song, then select the “devices” icon. Finally, select the device you want to stream from and start listening. Update June 23, 2020: Starting today, Spotify Free users in the U.K., Ireland, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, and Mexico, will begin to be able to stream Spotify through Amazon Alexa. Both Spotify Free and Premium users in India will also be able to stream Spotify through Amazon Alexa for the first time.
